Based on Review of the survey results and discussion with the St. Anthony Alumni office, the St. Anthony High School Class of 1987 25-year reunion will take place on Maui at the end of June, 2012. Part of the reunion events will include the Ho'olaulea at St. Anthony on June 30, 2012.

2012 Reunion Planning Committee Formed

A few of us have gotten together to begin planning for the our 2012 25th reunion. The reunion planning committee currently includes:

We have developed a survey to get input from classmates on where the reunion should take place and what we should plan. Many of you should be getting an email survey from Survey Monkey in the coming month soliciting your opinions and preferences.

Scott Mau

As many of you know, Scott Mau died recently (Oct 25, 2009). While I do not have much info on this there is some indication that he suffered a heart attack while diving off McGreggor point.

So, I should report that after my last blog I did find Christine Zuern Cloutier on Facebook. She is is married with kids and living in North Carolina.

Don't forget, only 3 years until our 25th Reunion.

Dean Inamasu has correctly pointed out that I have not been updating the blog lately. This is due largely to the fact that everyone seems to be on facebook, and also to the fact that I have been insanely busy since I got back from Maui in February.

Class of 87 Mini Reunion Set for January 25

We will be meeting up in Wailuku at 4pm on Sunday, January 25. We are still finalizing the location but it will probably be at either Unisan or Tiffany's. If you're in the State of Hawaii on January 25 I really want to see you there. This is going to be a great time! Bring your families - I can't wait to see everyone.

SAS Turns 160!

On Sunday, January 25^th , 2009, St. Anthony High School will be celebrating its 160^th anniversary and 125^th anniversary of the Marianist sponsorship. The event will be in the school’s Café with lunch for all in attendance and then memorabilia in our Alumni Center with other events -- time is 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm.

Jan 2009 - Maui Reunion

I will be on Maui from Jan 23 to Jan 30, 2009. I want to get everyone together who can make it for a mini-reunion and to discuss plans for our 25th reunion. I will contact everyone who has contacted the blog with the where and when details shortly.

Maui - January 2009

My wife and I will be going to Maui in Jaunary. We will be there from January 23rd through the 29th, and then we will probably jump over to the big island for a few nights before returning home to NJ. I'd love to meet up with folks while I'm there. I'll stop by St. Anthony and make contact with them about any support they can lend in helping us organize a 25 year reunion in 2012.

On another note, Archie is planning to swing through NYC next summer and we're making plans to meet up. If anyone else is coming through New York give me a shout - I can give you recommendations and would love to meet up.

I'm still waiting on Gary Pico, Jinnah Rose, Tom Perryman and Chad Asuncion to post something.
